The lovey-dovey couple first met on the sets of ‘Abhimaan’ in 2016 and became more than just friends. Since then, they have been hitting headlines for various reasons, especially when rumours were rife about Raj’s involvement with Mimi Chakraborty. In 2017, speculations of Raj and Subhashree’s wedding made rounds for the first time. The couple endured several highs and lows. After dating for almost a year, they finally exchanged vows last year and got married on 11 may.
Now the actress is all set for her return to big screen in the Raj’s next directorial ‘Parineeta’, where she could be seen as the lead in the love story in three different looks. It also stars Ritwick Chakraborty, Gourab Chakraborty, Adrit Roy, Laboni Sarkar and Tulika Basu. The story of ‘Parineeta’ chronicles around a student played by Subhashree Ganguly. The student falls for her teacher played by Ritwick Chakraborty, but the teacher interestingly sees as nothing but his student. The twist in the story comes when the teacher suddenly commits suicide. Most interesting part is Raj Chakraborty has taken the story from Facebook to develop the script of ‘Parineeta’. The story was written by Arnab Bhaumik but the basic storyline was by Priyanka Poddar. Padmanava Dasgupta is now penning the script for the movie.It will be the first time the power couple of Tollywood will work in a film together after their marriage last year.
