“Hindi Medium” is a copy of Bengali Film “Ramdhanu : The Rainbow”,makers accused of Plagiarism charges
The makers of Bengali movie “Ramdhanu :The Rainbow” are accusing that the upcoming bollywood movie “Hindi Medium” is plagiarize from their 2014 film “Ramdhanu: The Rainbow”. Irrfan Khan starrer “Hindi Medium” which won everyone’s heart by its unusual take on India’s fixation with English, has come under the scanner. Soon after the Trailer was released, within 24 hours, Twitter is buzzing with shocked reaction from the Bengali film fraternity.
As per reports, On October last year Shiboprosad Mukherjee had informed Mukesh Bhatt, the president of Film and Television producers Guild of India to take action against the movie directed by Saket Choudhury. He had claimed the film is a copy of “Randhanu: The Rainbow”.Now the producer of “Ramdhanu:The Rainbow” is reportedly planning to move to court accusing “Hindi Medium” of copyright infringement and seeking Rs. 5 Crore compensation…!
“Hindi Medium” produced by Bhusan kumar, Krishnan Kumar and Dinesh Vijay is expecting to release on 12th May, coincidentally Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s upcoming Bengali film “Posto” is also slated to release 12th May. So far things are not going great for “Hindi Medium” but now only time will tell what will be the outcome of this.
