Happy Birthday Alia, Here are your birthday wishes…

Alia will be ringing in her 25th birthday in Bulgaria with the team of Brahmastra. The team surprised her at midnight with a cake.The shooting for the film is in full swing at Bulgaria’s biggest film studio and surrounds.This is Alia’s first film with Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor.

Co-star Mouni Roy also posted an adorable birthday wish for Alia calling her a happy and glowing girl.


Even Karan Johar was supposed to fly down to Bulgaria to celebrate with his protege but he is too busy with the preparation for his mother’s 75th birthday bash, which is going to be a gala affair. Her mother Soni Razdan also revealed how Alia’s name was decided. On Instagram, she shared a collage of Alia’s pictures. “On this day 25 years ago, you were born, Alia. Your name had already been chosen in my head. Alia Knightly was a lovely British Indian model and when I read that name, I had decided if I had a girl we would call her Alia. Luckily your father agreed. I had no idea what the name meant then. It was many years later that I found out it means ‘exalted’. And that you most certainly are,” read an excerpt from Ms Razdan’s post. Adding an old picture of himself with the actress, father Mahesh Bhatt wrote, “Such a big miracle in such a little girl! Happy birthday, Alia,”. “I’m so lucky to have you as my sister and I’m so proud of the kind and nurturing soul you have grown to be. Thank you for being you. Happy birthday my beautiful girl.” Alia’s sister Shaheen also shared a lovely post on instagram for the actress. Alia Bhatt posted two pictures of herself from the sets of Raazi and revealed that after 25 days, the trailer of Raazi will be released.This is Alia Bhatt’s birthday gift to herself and perhaps to us too.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who first introduced Indian audiences to Alia in her debut in Student Of The Year, took to Twitter today, to wish the actor as well as release her look from her upcoming film, Raazi.

The movie, co-produced by Johar’s Dharma Productions and Junglee Films, is helmed by Meghna Gulzar. Alia plays an Indian spy married to a Pakistani Army official, played by Vicky Kaushal. The film is based on Calling Sehmat, the best-selling book by Harinder Sikka.

In a career of five years, Alia Bhatt has managed to earn an amount of respect. The young lady is a powerhouse of talent when it comes to choosing roles. She has terrific script sense and most of her films have struck gold at the box office.
