Delegate Registration for IFFI begins, free for students
Delegate registration for the 46th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) kicked off on Saturday, the organizers of India’s largest international film festival said here.The statement issued here by the Union ministry for Information and Broadcasting also said that the delegate registration will be closed by November 5. It will be held on November 20 at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee indoor stadium near Panaji.Over 12,000 delegates attended the 45th edition of the film festival, which is now being held permanently in Goa.The International Film Festival of India has increased the delegate fee by over 300 per cent this year, while making the 10-day event free for students.The 10-day pageant of national and international films, organized by Government of India in Goa, has opened the delegate registration online.A press note released that students will have to pay Rs 300 only if they need a kit of brochures and other information.Student delegates are told to carry their college ID card for verification at the time of collection of delegate cards.Media persons will also be provided media cards by 16 November, provided they register by 31 October.(IANS)/(Goa news)
