Too many films releasing together Dividing the audience : Saswata Chatterjee at the Premiere of ‘Dwikhondito’
SASWATA CHATTERJEE is one of the most versatile actors in the Bengali film industry. Over the years, he has come through as a complete entertainer and has been actively associated with every genre of filmmaking that is to be found on the cards. Be it action, comedy, thriller, or socially relevant films, you name it and chances are that Saswata already has it in his repertoire.
Today at the premiere of the film ‘Dwikhondito’ SASWATA in an interview to http://www.mediaexpress.co.in/ he speaks candidly, ” The character is very interesting and it’s brave on the director’s part for choosing such a subject as his first film”. When asked him about his take on the recent tons of Independent film he says it rightly, ” Too many good films are releasing together which is really dividing the audience. ”
Saayoni, who is excited to play a psychiatrist for the first time in ‘Dwikhondito’ said, “The story of the film is intense and so is my character. For the first time, I shared screen space with Apuda (SASWATA CHATTERJEE) for such a long time and there is so much to learn from him.”
Nabarun Sen’s Dwikhondito is a story of a man who suffers from dissociative identity disorder finds his life spiralling out of control after he starts hallucinating the characters of his new novel.
As the hallucinations become more frequent and his mental health worsens, his family turns to a renowned psychiatrist for help. Can he be saved?
The music has been composed by Arup Bhattacharya, Chirantan Banerjee and Priyanko Das.
